Inspired by (time with Rick and) seeing Hamilton in NYC (find a way to go see it, anywhere you can), this is the idea in my mind at the moment.
Hamilton was a genius, yes. He had a fire in his belly (like you). He made mistakes. He made questionable decisions. He failed. He had people who believed in him. He had people in his life who were skeptical at best. He also changed the future of the country.
Now you - place yourself in the Hamilton seat. Look around at the characters in your life. Name them.
Who is your Eliza? "Who tells your story?" Who is your faithful cheerleader and partner? Who executes what you really want to see in the world? Who is your non-Apostle teammate?
Who is your Angelica? Who encourages you from afar? Who makes you better just by being with them? Who gets you and knows you? Who gives you the resources you need. Your triad also plays this role.
Who is your Washington? Who is you Person of Peace in the Community, Business, or Nonprofit world? Who sees you and what you are capable of? Who gives you new opportunities utilizing their own positions and power? This would be a person of peace. "It must be nice, it must be nice, to have Washington on your side."
Who is your Lafayette and Crew? Who are the “boys at the tavern” who you retreat to, get another round for the night, get encouraged by, and head back out into the field on mission? These people are your dugout. Do what it takes to find them. Pray for them, they are out there. You need them. "Let's have another round, tonight."
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Who is your King George? Who or what are the institutions that you are currently a part of, potentially? Who or what are the forces that are working against you? More than just a single person.
and Who is your Burr? Who are the 1 or more people in your life, potentially someone close to you who constantly tells you that you can't do this, that you are wasting your time, that you have more important things to do? Who is your biggest skeptic? Who doesn’t see what you are trying to do and in fact tries to tear you down?
Take the graphic. Name them in your life. Spend more time with your dugout and your triad, with the Angelicas and Elizas and the tavern crew. Name the King George in your triad and your dugout so you can stay on task. Spend less and less time with your Burr. Ask for help from your Washington.
